Lol.. since end of Doha. Woz became #1 after Aussie Open. She was barely ahead of Halep.
After Dubai and Doha points came off, Halep, who was resting her ankle at home, took her #1 Lazy Boy back.
Wozz couldn't Defend her points from the Middle East.

I'm rooting for Venus to win the title. Her last big title was Wuhan 2015. And if not here at IW, I hope she grabs a big title at some point this year.

Last year, she had 2 if not all 4, GS titles and the YEC on her racket and somehow it all went awry.

Pushers should never win slams. It's a tragedy when they do. Hopefully, it doesn't happen often.

The serve was un-returnable. a few DF, naturally, but she really served well.
The ROS were on point. And the ground game was solid.. Great performance.

As for Serena, there was not much she could do. Venus reads her serve better than anyone. So she had trouble landing them. She was trying to disguise them but had no luck. Venus was on top of them.

Nowadays, when the sisters play each other, it's for the history book. The results matters less.
I was rooting for Serena but Venus was just ruthless, as I said in the LIVE Chat. :) :) She was a "sista killa" tonight. Hope Serena doesn't run into her early in Miami.
Serena could still beat all the players left in the draw. Venus was in the zone. Hope she brings that same performance to the court in her next matches. That was superb !!!!

Glad I wasn't there to witness it, Ace!! Betrayal

Serena Williams is trying to find her form heading into the summer. (AP)

Serena Williams says her decision to get fitter helped her career resurgence a few years ago, and that she is "trying to get that physical back" as she returns to tour.

“Mental aspect is a huge part of my game. Physical is tough as well," Serena told Bloomberg in a pre-recorded interview.

“It’s a part of the job. A few years ago, I described and I realized that for the first time, I realized that my job was to stay fit. Simply put, so I was like, 'Okay, you have to have a better diet. You have to do this.' That’s my job, literally that’s my job. I was like, 'You know what, Serena,' and that gave me the motivation just to work harder on that, so sometimes, breaking things down like simple, so simple like that just can also help.”
